Saying goodbye to the Lansing City Market today
December 19, 2009
A part of my ability to live car-free in Lansing was my proximity to the Lansing City Market. Even in the deepest of winter I could walk to get a half gallon of non-homogenized organic milk, fresh hummus, cheese to die for and even tofu and a good conversation.
The Old Lansing City Market is closing after today (today is the last Saturday) and I’ll miss it terribly. I’ll be posting a blog later chronicling my goodbye. But here are some pix from last winter that I took on a trek to the City Market.

Thanks for the link. I didn’t get to make it over there on Saturday. I will be following up on how the City Market helped make my lifestyle possible and how I hope the future facility will help build a stronger, sustainable and local Lansing.
